Volunteer

STARS (Sexual Trauma & Assault Response Services) is looking for individuals, both men and women, who are interested in volunteering their time by joining our Volunteer Program.

Orientation for volunteer training classes will be held in September at the STARS Office, 710 N. Campbell, El Paso, Texas.

Volunteers donate valuable time to help our organization in a number of different ways.  STARS Volunteers...

  • Respond to hospital calls as trained volunteer advocates to provide crisis intervention to victims of sexual assault and their family members and/or significant others.  These volunteers receive a 40 hour specialized training course that is certified by the Texas Attorney General's office to learn how to provide crisis intervention in a hospital setting to victims of sexual trauma, as well as their family members and/or significant others.
  • Represent the STARS Program at health fairs throughout the El Paso community to meet people and promote sexual assault prevention and awareness.
  • Assist with our annual fundraiser STARS Border Issues Conference.

You choose how you'd like to help! If you have the time and you're interested in becoming a volunteer for a worthwhile cause, please, give us a call to schedule a time to come to our office and fill out an application.  We would love to hear from you! (Minimum required age - 18 Years.)
