It's Friday night. You and your friends have talked about what tonight's plans are. You run home to change, then take off and meet your friends. It's the best time of our life.
Everyone deserves to enjoy life and have a good time. But there are dangers you should be aware of. Take action and be responsible for your personal safety. It's up to you and to make sure that every day of our life counts for something good.
Prevention and Safety Tips
Never leave a drink unattended. If you must set your drink down to go to the restroom, or to dance, order a fresh one when you get back.
Don't accept anything to drink or eat from someone you don't know or trust-- not even water. if the seal or cap to your drink has been broken, there is no guarantee that the beverage has been tampered with. Get a new bottle.
If you should begin to feel sick or dizzy while out socially, go to someone you know and trust. If there is no one you can talk to about you condition, call someone on the phone. Never leave alone, and NEVER get in a car with someone you don't know well enough to trust.
If you think you've been drugged and no one you trust is available to tell or to call, call 911. Remember, alcohol greatly increases the effects of these drugs, and the mixture could be lethal.
